November 2016 Newsletter

Meet Patricia Mason!

You have probably noticed a wonderful, warm, friendly new face in the office. That would be Pat. Pat was born in Yonkers, NY and currently lives in Catalina. (She actually is Krista’s neighbor!) She comes from a family of eight children and herself has a daughter and two grandsons.

Pat has lived in Arizona since 1997 and retired from the State of Arizona in 2010. Besides her position here at South 40, she also transcribes psych evaluations for a psychologist. We were not surprised to learn that Pat likes laughter and people (!!) along with traveling, music, and roller coasters. If you have not yet met Pat, please stop into the office and introduce yourself. We are ecstatic to have her join our South 40 family.

PET CORNER

Please be a responsible pet owner at South Forty.

  • Always have your dog on a leash except in the dog run. This is for your dog’s safety.
  • Always pick up after your pet.
  • Never let your dog bark and disturb your neighbor.

SLOW IT DOWN

Driving in Tucson can be hectic but please remember to slow down when you are here at South 40. The speed limit is 10 mph so relax, slow down and show your neighbors a little consideration. AND please stay on the roadways. Don’t cut through the parking lot in the front or through your neighbor’s yards.

Note from the Activity Director

GAME NIGHTS at South 40 provide a GREAT evening for all involved. We would like to stress, however, how im-portant it is for all who are playing to be here on time. It isn’t fair to those who are, to sit and wait for those who are late. Please note the times on the monthly calendar so you can arrive on time.

DINNER SIGN UPS will NO LONGER be accepted on the day of the event due to our need to plan accordingly to our residents. During the summer we did let this slide but now that we are filling up, it is imperative to have a correct number of attendees a day in advance. Recently we had to run back to the store three times to get more food. Makes for a stressful evening.

HAVE SUGGESTIONS FOR PRESENTATIONS OR PROGRAMS OR ACTIVITIES IN GENERAL? Please leave these suggestions at the front office. We’d love to hear what activities you enjoy. This is your park…be involved!
