IN JULY, WE WELCOMED RAIN FROM THE MONSOONS!

AND WE WELCOMED MIKE HEBERT AS OUR NEW MAINTENANCE MAN. MORE ABOUT MIKE ON PAGE 3

JACK, IN #47, HAS HAD A SPECIAL VISITOR THIS MONTH WHOM WE ARE ALL ALSO ENJOYING: HIS DAUGHTER, SUSAN, FROM WYOMING.

AND ALSO – WE WELCOMED OUR OWN PAM KELLOGG AS THE NEW PARK MANAGER OF SOUTH 40!!!! WE ARE SO EXCITED TO HAVE PAM AS OUR NEW LEADER!

VISITOR’S IN THE PARK

We have had a few instances at the front desk where we have been asked for different lot sites by visitors who are unbeknownst to us. If you are expecting someone who is unfamiliar to your site location and who may stop in for directions, may we ask that you give the office a call so we know it is okay to send them back to you? We recently had a situation where someone presented themselves as a welcome guest when, in fact, they were not.

LAUNDRY ROOM ETIQUETTE

When using the washers and dryers here at South 40, please check your machines before you leave to make sure you have taken all your belongings with you as well as double check to make sure the machines are free of grease, dirt and debris. PLEASE, no dying of articles.

ARIZONA PROPANE

There have been some questions brought to the office about the policies of Arizona Propane. To clarify a few items: They deliver to South 40 on Monday mornings. To receive service on Mondays, you need to phone the office by 4pm on Fridays to let them know you need fuel. 520-750-9116. Then place their fluorescent sign in your front window so they can see it as they drive by. Another concern was that some have received a letter from them saying they are charging a $50.00 fee because you haven’t used enough propane during the year. You can avoid this fine by calling their office and ordering a smaller tank.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KARLA ON AUGUST 9th!!!!! Please join us in wishing her a VERY HAPPY DAY. Karla keeps our park buildings sooooo beautiful! We really appreciate you and all your hard work, KARLA!

MEET MIKE HEBERT

We are soooooo excited to have Mike Hebert joining our South 40 Staff as our new Maintenance Man. Mike is from Southern New Hampshire where he did computer networking for 22 years. Following that position, he did maintenance for a local ski resort, and worked for a high-tech company for the past 10 years. Mike is married to the beautiful Ann Marie – his wonderful sidekick.

Mike and Ann landed in Arizona to help their son get situated with college and to run away from the snow. To help with their running away, Mike and Ann sold off everything, purchased a Class A Motorhome and hit the road. Mike and Ann have 2 children: Amber (22) and Zachary (24). Mike will begin his new position with South 40 around the middle of August. If you have not yet met Mike and Ann, please stop and introduce yourself when you see them out and about. We are so pleased to have them with us!

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO:
RUSSELL DUNFIELD FOR HIS HELP IN MAINTAINING THE SOUTH 40 SWIMMING POOL AND SPA. THE POOL AND SPA WERE ALWAYS SO SPARKLY AND BEAUTIFUL WITH YOUR EXPERTISE!

THANK YOU also to the men from EL SENDERO for the GREAT job they did assisting John in the cleaning up of
the park during this monsoon season. It is a tough job to try to stay one step ahead of the rain and winds that
pass through the park sometimes on a nightly basis.

REMINDERS:

  • Only two vehicles are allowed at each RV site. Any trailers you have must be parked in the dollie sites or put into storage. Stop by the office and we can help you with this
  • All annual residents are responsible for cleaning up their own yard. If you cannot perform this maintenance, please let the office know and we will help you find someone to assist with this project
  • Please note that Palm tree trimming will begin in August
